Macaroni AU Gratin

Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: About 13 minutes
4 Servings
MW function(C-O: Medium, C-HI: Maximum, C-Lo: Minimum)
Combi (C-O+160°C: Medium; C-HI+180°C: Maximum; C-Lo+140°C: Minimum)


  • 400 gr. Macaroni (four servings)
  • 30 gr. butter
  • 30 gr. white flour
  • 1.5 teaspoon of salt
  • a pinch of pepper
  • 400 gr. milk
  • 50 gr. grated emmental cheese
  • 50 gr. grated parmesan cheese

  1. Put the butter in a casserole about 2 litres capacity and melt it in the oven set at maximum heat for 30 seconds. Add flour, salt, pepper and, little by little, milk warmed on the stove.
  2. Carefully stir and put again in the oven set on COMBI function at maximum heat for 4 minutes. Mix emmental and stir until it will be completely melted.
  3. Add macaroni cooked in plenty of salted water, stir, dust the surface with grated parmesan cheese and put over all flakes of butter. Finally put in the oven set on COMBI function at maximum heat for 5 minutes and then for 3 minutes with the GRILL function.
